The Southern Women's Show, celebrating there 10th anniversary, was this past weekend and it was amazing! Tons of businesses, celebrities and shoppers packed the convention center downtown Savannah. There was such a large turn-out that the designated parking lot was filled to capacity; the flow over traffic had to park on a deserted race track (true story). No complaints here, the event was so worth it. Chevy was kind enough to loan out some of there newer vehicles for test drives...actually I should rephrase that...Chevy paid attendants to test drive there latest model vehicles. I test drove a camaro and a traverse; the camaro was sweet! But, I was there for a purpose, and that was to check out the fashion. I found a few I just had to share with you guys.
Two friends decided to turn their passion for fashion and jewelry into a business. Even though they live in separate States, they manage to devote the necessary time to promote their venture by attending this year's show. Adjective is the clothing boutique and Additive is the jewelry line (how clever are these names!?)
You can see more handmade and monogram jewelry on Etsy.
Southern Fried Chics:
Bright, vibrant colors for the Spring and Summer can be found at Southern Fried Chics (yet another clever name). I did ask the owner how she came up with the name and she said: "...well, my sister and I were trying to come up with a name and we kept saying it had to have the word 'Southern' in it and then I said, why not Southern fried chics...and it stuck". Visit them online for more selections.
Ruffles are very much on trend for this Spring/Summer
Molas designs are unique handmade textiles which reflect the natural environment of the indigenous Kunas in Colombia and Panama. They also make: shoes, hand bags, leather watches and much more. Visit them on Facebook.
The camaro I test drove.

I heard about him from around the way...he was all the ladies' favorite. I didn't think I had a chance, until he looked my way. I fell in love at first sight. I didn't care he arrived via the UPS truck, or that he was dressed in bubble wrap and tons of tape. I was just happy he finally arrived; and just in time for Valentine's Day. We stared into each others eyes for hours upon hours; He whispered sweet nothings in my ear as we cuddled on the couch, enjoying each other's company. He's such a romantic. Did I mention he brought flowers? So thoughtful! He doesn't care about what size I am or that I wouldn't be caught dead in flats; He loves me just the way I am - imperfections and all. He said we made a perfect pair. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that he chose me to share this Valentine's Day.
You ask me how I knew it was real love....
|I knew he loved me when he stamped it on his "sole".|
Shoes: Sam Edelman, Penelope, ruby red.
If you would like to try your luck and be his Valentine for next year, you might want to try getting his attention now by stopping by his place.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Bonne fete de Saint Valentin mi amour! Bisous!
