#FNO downtown Savannah

Hello Fashionistas! I just got back from another awesome Fashion's Night Out, Yeah!!! While some major cities have decided not to continue with this fashionable event that we fashionistas look forward to each year (other than New York Fashion Week), Savannah decided not to disappoint us. I certainly appreciate that Savannah.

While at FNO, I ran into Corey Brooks (view here) who I last saw at the Harley-Davidson fashion show,  capturing the night as only he can. Why? Because he's a photographer that knows how to work his camera. No joke, I've met a few who don't.

I also met  an artist - Laura - who was gracious enough to take my pic below. Hopefully I'll be showcasing some of her work very soon on my blog. No pressure! ^_^  Update: See below.

Now for the OOTN (outfit of the night). I wanted to be on trend (see here) by wearing a shade of gray; however at first glance inside my closet, all that was staring back at me were sweaters. It's way too HOT for that. So, I searched some more and found this top that I purchased almost two years ago and never wore. I don't know why, because it's perfect for Summer. Maybe I was waiting for gray to be the "IT" color of the season.

OOTN:

Top: Lauren Conrad

Did anyone else go to FNO? Tell me about it.

It's Friday! Hope you have a wonderful weekend :-)

Thank You Laura Barton! :-) Wow, you certainly work fast. Savannah, stay tuned for more art work from this fashionable, gorgeous, super sweet artist.

Style Options for Labor Day

Style Options for Labor Day

For this Labor Day weekend I wanted to pick a few pieces that could be mixed and matched to wear to a barbecue, a sporting event, or casual date night. For some reason I tend to gravitate towards red, white and blue for major holidays here in the US (not sure why), maybe it's the patriotism in me. Either way, the colors red, white and blue, are fairly easy to style. Of course I chose a crop top because they are very much on trend right now. As well as the high top sneakers and asymmetrical skirt (in this case a skort).

Can you wear white after Labor Day?

Have a wonderful Labor Day and weekend! :-)

Fab'rik : : Girls' Night Out

A big THANK-YOU to Fab'rik for hosting this Girls' Night Out for me and a few friends. It was VIP treatment all the way the entire night as the store was closed from 7:30 - 9:30PM just for us. Talk about a dream come through. This store is the closet of my dreams, just extremely organized (although I'm working on that, View Here).  The ladies of Fab'rik were very accommodating and super patient as we went through the store trying on fabulous tops, pastel skinnies, Super-chic shoes and everything else. This is a boutique that has the latest trends and staple items for your closet. Also, when in the store, find out how you can have a VIP party of your own. Sometimes a girl just needs retail therapy!

Krystle (on the left) is a MUA & owner of The Powder Room. She is also a very active volunteer with Survivor Glam Squad

The beautiful and stylish Kasi was recently on the runway at the Harley-Davidson Fashion Show.

Krista (on the right) is a cosmetology student, and also a modeling coach at Belle Eden Studio. She is the proud mom of the gorgeous little girl I featured on the Harley-Davidson Fashion Show post.

Judah is a leasing specialist at a luxury apartment community.

These heels are tres sexy -  with the skinny heel and cute ties at the ankle - perfect for date night (*wink* wink*).

Right now there is a sale on the jeans shown above, buy 1 get 1 free. Notice the pastel colors which are very much on trend for this season.

Check out Emily Maynard of the bachelorette (season 8), who is also a fan of Fab'rik.

Visit Fab'rik online or downtown Savannah on Broughton Street.

Thanks to you fabulous ladies that made it out in the pouring rain; I appreciate you! ^_^

Have a great weekend!

Jeanious or not so much

Let me start by saying: I love jeans - love, love, love jeans! Jeans to me is like comfort food, always there to make a "I don't have anything to wear!" meltdown turn out just right. We are talking all types of jeans, from skinny, flared, bell bottoms, to grandma high-waisted jeans. Yes, like the ones Jessica Simpson wore that everybody hated; Well, I actually thought they were stylish.

Lately, I've noticed a trend in the jeans world that I'm not sure I'm fond of. I'm talking about flower patterned jeans. I know it's the latest craze, all the celebs are wearing it, just take a look at this picture:
Beyonce and other celebs rocking the flower print.
Doesn't this pattern remind you of the tablecloths at summer cookouts from childhood? Maybe it's just me. Lets see how long this trend lasts - hopefully not much longer.
