Father's Day is coming up  - June 16th to be exact; and for all you daddy's girl, I wanted to give you a couple of quick ideas on what to wear if you will be hanging out with the "old guy" for the day.

Jacksonville Urban League

This was a wonderful event that benefited knots4kids and JUL Head Start, held at the ultra-fabulous One Ocean Resort Hotel. Cocktail attire was the requirement and these ladies delivered with their own uniqueness. Gone are the days of plain black cocktail dresses; today it's about adding colors and accessorizing.

Side Note: Nereida is a zumba instructor and it shows.

The always fierce Monica is wearing a curve-hugging black cocktail dress. Notice the beautiful stone embellishments at the neckline - that added bling is what makes this dress stand-out.

I loved the color choices here - bright blue blouse with the pink skirt  - then to top it off, the candy apple red Jessica Simpson heels. Overall, fabulous!

Girls night out

Urban Flats in Jacksonville, FL is a great spot to hang out after work and unwind with a glass of wine. Usually there is a DJ playing the latest tracks (and some old school) with plenty of people on the dance floor grooving to the music. Just recently I caught up with a couple of friends who were out having a good time looking fabulous.

This outfit goes from office attire to "after 5" wear by removing the jacket. The yellow is a perfect color for the summer and the material is easy-breezy.
