Nostalgic with eShakti

Hello Fashionistas! Hope everyone had a fashionating weekend. I had a very quiet, yet adventurous weekend (if that makes sense). My hubster took me to see a very interesting lake which I will share with you guys on IG. While at this lake, the hubster said: "Look, it's nature's runway!" He was right (don't tell him I said so) and I titled the pic just that. Then, I remembered I had to take some pics of a gorgeous dress I received from eShakti.com in exchange for doing a honest review of what I thought of their product. When I was contacted by Jane - from eShakti - I was grateful for the opportunity yet skeptical. Dresses or not usually my thing. They never fit right. I'm more of a jeans/pants girl. However, when I went on the website to roam around and see what they had, I was very excited by the "Jamaica" dress. Now, I'm not sure if you guys know or not, but I was born on the beautiful, tropical island of Jamaica; although I've been in the States for the majority of my life. But, if you've been to Jamaica, the memory will live with you forever. Just the thought of ackee & salt fish, roast breadfruit, fried dumpling with callaloo makes me nostalgic for my birth home. I digress. I've seen a few posts from other bloggers who've done a review for eShakti and already knew about the customization service they provided and that their sizes range from 0 - 36W. When you visit the website it clearly lets you know "Real fashion for Real People" which I can appreciate that. 

On to the dress. Other than loving the name, once I received it (which was pronto after receiving an email letting me know it was on its way via DHL, tracking number and all) I immediately wanted to see if it fit. And, it did. If fit me exactly how I wanted it to. Cinched at the waist. If you've been reading my blog or my other social media outlets, you know I love a cinched waist. The partial side zipper makes it easy to slip over the head, it has pockets and  it fits below the knee. The best part is, it's machine washable, made of cotton with a light crisp feel. This dress is listed for $59.95, which is a steal when you can add your own customization. You can change the sleeve, change the length or even remove the pockets. I'm very pleased with this dress and it will be a piece I will treasure forever not just because of the name but I felt really amazing wearing this dress. Hope you guys like the pics we took.

4th Outfit & Review

I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th, whether it was with friends and family or on the job. There was much to celebrate and be thankful for. Earlier in the day I wasn't feeling well, but thanks to my hubby and lots of ginger tea, I felt much better and was able to go out and enjoy the remainder of the day. As mentioned in an earlier post (here), I was sent a box of goodies from Influenster to try and as promised I wanted to use the products before giving my honest opinions. I used everything in the box, except for the Ouchless ponytail holders by Goody (I think it's quite obvious why I'm not wearing one). Maybe I'll wear them as bracelets in a later post :)

The Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream, which I am wearing in the pic below, did not give me as much coverage as I thought. It was very moisturizing, however, it barely did anything for concealing blemishes. I would give it a 7 - out of - 10. On my toes, which you can barely see, I am wearing All the Rage by SinfulShine (available exclusively at Walgreens). This nail polish is a must-have. You only need one coat to get the shine and long lasting wear from this nail polish. I love it! I give it a 10.

Dr. Scholl's insoles (Also complimentary for testing from Influenster) were amazing. I definitely give these insoles a 10. Super comfy, easy to apply and remove without leaving any glue behind. Also, they were barely visible which made it easy to blend in with the heels I was wearing.

Sam Edelman* : A Love Story

I heard about him from around the way...he was all the ladies' favorite. I didn't think I had a chance, until he looked my way. I fell in love at first sight. I didn't care he arrived via the UPS truck, or that he was dressed in bubble wrap and tons of tape. I was just happy he finally arrived; and just in time for Valentine's Day. We stared into each others eyes for hours upon hours; He whispered sweet nothings in my ear as we cuddled on the couch, enjoying each other's company. He's such a romantic. Did I mention he brought flowers? So thoughtful! He doesn't care about what size I am or that I wouldn't be caught dead in flats; He loves me just the way I am - imperfections and all. He said we made a perfect pair. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that he chose me to share this Valentine's Day.

  You ask me how I knew it was real love....

I knew he loved me when he stamped it on his "sole".
