Finally Fri-Yay! Any exciting plans for the weekend? 

In honor of National Wear Red Day & Valentine's Day (Feb.14th, did I really need to mention the date, 😊) I decided red everything for this post. Today, wearing red meant you were showing support for women with heart disease and stroke. I'm sure many of us have felt the impact of a family member or close friend who has suffered from this disease or may not have survived a stroke. Today we honor those women, their memories and legacies. 

Valentine's day is not only a day for lovers, it's also a day to celebrate friendships. Having friends to share life's journey, a kindred spirit is a blessing beyond measure. So, happy galentine's day as well to all the besties.

Fab'rik Savannah: Celebrating Four Years!!!

Hello Fashionistas! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. The weekend went by way too fast for me to really remember if I had any fun or not. Last night I had the pleasure of attending the four year anniversary of Fab'rik Savannah. I've featured Fab'rik on my blog before (here) when I hosted a Girl's Night Out event. The owner, Bree Thomas was considerate enough to shoot me an email to let me know of the big day. There were sales, drinks and cake. Yum! A little bit for everyone right? I decided to record some of the night to share on my YouTube channel (which has been neglected for far too long).  Please check it out and subscribe to my channel ubetterworkblog. 

I have so many pieces from Fab'rik, however tonight when I was looking for something to wear from this chic store, everything was in the laundry. So, I grabbed a pair of my most comfy jeans, an airy top and comfortable boots and out the door I went, no make-up and a bad hair day. But, I wasn't going to let all that stop me from sharing with you, yet again, what this fabulous store has to offer.

Fab'rik : : Girls' Night Out

A big THANK-YOU to Fab'rik for hosting this Girls' Night Out for me and a few friends. It was VIP treatment all the way the entire night as the store was closed from 7:30 - 9:30PM just for us. Talk about a dream come through. This store is the closet of my dreams, just extremely organized (although I'm working on that, View Here).  The ladies of Fab'rik were very accommodating and super patient as we went through the store trying on fabulous tops, pastel skinnies, Super-chic shoes and everything else. This is a boutique that has the latest trends and staple items for your closet. Also, when in the store, find out how you can have a VIP party of your own. Sometimes a girl just needs retail therapy!

Krystle (on the left) is a MUA & owner of The Powder Room. She is also a very active volunteer with Survivor Glam Squad. 

The beautiful and stylish Kasi was recently on the runway at the Harley-Davidson Fashion Show.

Krista (on the right) is a cosmetology student, and also a modeling coach at Belle Eden Studio. She is the proud mom of the gorgeous little girl I featured on the Harley-Davidson Fashion Show post.

Judah is a leasing specialist at a luxury apartment community. 

These heels are tres sexy -  with the skinny heel and cute ties at the ankle - perfect for date night (*wink* wink*).

Chicnova

I'm getting Spring fever! On my last post I featured new shades for Spring 2013 from Fimoo (See here) and now I want to share with you some pieces from Chicnova that are must-haves. The gorgeous heel above is so feminine, versatile and offers a lot of options. I absolutely adore it. 

This "saddle-esque" bag is so cute. Great color and the hardware looks expensive (does the lock remind you of anything?).

Great pair of earrings with fabulous details.

This sad puss melts my heart; but this is a great slouch t-shirt to wear with jeans, skirts or shorts.

I like this hi-low top. Hi-low has moved up the chain, no longer is this a dress or skirt only style. I chose this orange color because it is really popular this season.

I like that these flowy skirts are back in vogue (several colors to choose from on chicnova). Wear it cinched at the waist; perfect for running errands or dressing up for date night.

This blue clutch is a nice pop of color and very sleek.

The animal of choice this season is the fox. I've seen the fox everywhere lately and this ring makes me want to go out and grab one.

Love this bag because it is affordable and very much on trend. Bonus: the color is great for Spring/Summer.

This necklace is a great color. Love the design as well.

Rachael and Mackenzie are two sisters who appeared on season 3 of Shark Tank. They were seeking a small investment to expand their one-of-a-kind body and shoe jewelry design company. Daymond John (of Fubu) and Mark Cuban took a chance and invested in their dream. Since then, their pieces have been in numerous magazines, on the runway, in music videos and on celebrities. Selita Ebanks, who has a swimsuit line called Sass, partnered with the ladies for BET's rip the runway.
