Fab'rik Savannah: Celebrating Four Years!!!

Hello Fashionistas! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. The weekend went by way too fast for me to really remember if I had any fun or not. Last night I had the pleasure of attending the four year anniversary of Fab'rik Savannah. I've featured Fab'rik on my blog before (here) when I hosted a Girl's Night Out event. The owner, Bree Thomas was considerate enough to shoot me an email to let me know of the big day. There were sales, drinks and cake. Yum! A little bit for everyone right? I decided to record some of the night to share on my YouTube channel (which has been neglected for far too long).  Please check it out and subscribe to my channel ubetterworkblog. 

I have so many pieces from Fab'rik, however tonight when I was looking for something to wear from this chic store, everything was in the laundry. So, I grabbed a pair of my most comfy jeans, an airy top and comfortable boots and out the door I went, no make-up and a bad hair day. But, I wasn't going to let all that stop me from sharing with you, yet again, what this fabulous store has to offer.

#FNO downtown Savannah

Hello Fashionistas! I just got back from another awesome Fashion's Night Out, Yeah!!! While some major cities have decided not to continue with this fashionable event that we fashionistas look forward to each year (other than New York Fashion Week), Savannah decided not to disappoint us. I certainly appreciate that Savannah. 

While at FNO, I ran into Corey Brooks (view here) who I last saw at the Harley-Davidson fashion show,  capturing the night as only he can. Why? Because he's a photographer that knows how to work his camera. No joke, I've met a few who don't.

I also met  an artist - Laura - who was gracious enough to take my pic below. Hopefully I'll be showcasing some of her work very soon on my blog. No pressure! ^_^  Update: See below.

Now for the OOTN (outfit of the night). I wanted to be on trend (see here) by wearing a shade of gray; however at first glance inside my closet, all that was staring back at me were sweaters. It's way too HOT for that. So, I searched some more and found this top that I purchased almost two years ago and never wore. I don't know why, because it's perfect for Summer. Maybe I was waiting for gray to be the "IT" color of the season.

Majesty Fashion Show

I attended an awesome fashion show this past Friday night at Villa Savannah in support of the Rape Crisis Center. This store has beautiful jewelry, fashionable clothing and fabulous home decor. If you haven't visited Villa Savannah (located on Broughton Street), I highly recommend that you do, you will not be disappointed. I was also there to support Melissa Harris (above), the wonderful runway coach at the Harley-Davidson fashion show I participated in (See Here). 

What I love about Villa Savannah is the diversity they offer in women's apparel, jewelry and accessories. Pieces that are unique and one-of-a-kind (every girl loves that) will keep you ahead of the trend. Whether you are looking for a casual girls' night out outfit or going to a fancy cocktail dinner, you will find the perfect look and accessories to top it off.

The Fall/Winter 2013-2014 fashion show.


Fendi is a family business made up of 5 sisters - although Karl Lagerfeld - joined the creative team in the 60s. Their mother and father, Adele Fendi and Eduardo, opened a leather goods and fur store in 1925. After the death of their father, the sisters took over the business, expanding on their individual interests, such as leather-wear, furs, public relations, etc. making the company what it is today. Fendi is known for the "baguette" and of course there signature double "F" logo, which Karl Lagerfeld played a role in. Check out the video above of the Fall/Winter collection, you won't be disappointed if you are a fan of Fendi.
