#FNO downtown Savannah

Hello Fashionistas! I just got back from another awesome Fashion's Night Out, Yeah!!! While some major cities have decided not to continue with this fashionable event that we fashionistas look forward to each year (other than New York Fashion Week), Savannah decided not to disappoint us. I certainly appreciate that Savannah. 

While at FNO, I ran into Corey Brooks (view here) who I last saw at the Harley-Davidson fashion show,  capturing the night as only he can. Why? Because he's a photographer that knows how to work his camera. No joke, I've met a few who don't.

I also met  an artist - Laura - who was gracious enough to take my pic below. Hopefully I'll be showcasing some of her work very soon on my blog. No pressure! ^_^  Update: See below.

Now for the OOTN (outfit of the night). I wanted to be on trend (see here) by wearing a shade of gray; however at first glance inside my closet, all that was staring back at me were sweaters. It's way too HOT for that. So, I searched some more and found this top that I purchased almost two years ago and never wore. I don't know why, because it's perfect for Summer. Maybe I was waiting for gray to be the "IT" color of the season.

Farewell to Summer...Welcome back Fall

Hello Guys & Dolls! What a summer!? I'm the first to admit, I've been MIA for some months now and not because I wanted to, but this has been the busiest summer ever.  And now that it's almost over, I can breath a sigh of relief and get back to blogging :-)

Joules: My Fall/Winter Must-Haves

Maycroft Trench Coat

Does a trench ever go out of style? This piece is a timeless classic, since Sherlock Holmes made it popular and Angelina Jolie made it sexy in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith". I like a khaki coloured trench because the neutral colour can pretty much be paired with any clothing item. 

Parade Tweed Jacket

Secretly, I have always loved tweed jackets. It looks very collegiate. Very proper and put together, as my great-aunt would say. Yes, there is also a certain equestrian vibe going on here,  and for the longest I thought this jacket only belonged to that world. Not anymore, a tweed jacket is now a staple in any girls' closet. This jacket is perfect for the in-between weather of Fall/Winter. It can be paired nicely with jeans, trousers, pencil skirts, high boots; the pairings are endless.

Plain Jersey Tunic

This plain jersey tunic, is anything but plain, in my opinion. The pockets on the sides are an extra bonus and the bit of gathering at the waist creates an hourglass look which is very flattering to the female figure. This tunic with the soft grey colour is perfect for Fall or even Winter by pairing with tights and "wellies" on rainy days. 

Victoria Pencil Skirt

 I just got into pencil skirts, maybe a year ago, and now I just love them. I currently have one in my collection and want to add as much as possible. I chose this particular pencil skirt because of the stripes. The stripes gives it a little something extra. Also, the navy colour is one that can be paired with a lot of different colours, for example: feeling patriotic? Add a red or white top, belt and heels (not necessarily in that order, but you get my drift). 

Evedon Premium Welly

These rain boots (also known as "wellies") are my favourites. They are traditional wellington boots with a twist; They are so on-trend with there beautiful patterns, accessories and prints. There are tons to choose from in each category of ankle, mid-height and lace-up boots. Take a look here and tell me what your favourite is? Also, some have matching "brollies". Can you guess what "brollies" are? 

Misha Bracelet

This misha bracelet (other colours available) is just adorable. Adding a bow to pretty much anything, makes it instantaneously adorable. It's just feminine and chic. These bracelets are also a great addition to other bracelets for stacking if you're trying to create the chunky look.

My Kind Of Fall

Fall officially started, according to my calendar, September 22^nd, but I don’t think Florida got the memo.  But that’s ok. I took the time to enjoy this bright, sunny day at one of my favorite spots in town. A beautiful picturesque view, cool breeze coming off the river and me basking in the sun was the perfect Fall day. The temperature was in the low to high 80s throughout the afternoon. I certainly wanted to wear my favorite platform sandals that I got over the summer, paired with this chiffon top and  jeans that I bought from Kohl’s; Accessorized with H&M ring and bracelet. The belt I’ve had in my closet for a while and I decided to try it with this top. I loved the combination instantly. The belt was like magic; it gave me hips and also emphasized my waist.  Of course I was sucking in as well :-).
